A
number of Long Island councils and assemblies,
as well as Columbian Squires from
Rodrigo “Ed” Velez Circle 546, took
part in the annual Memorial Day decoration of
veterans gravesites at Long Island National
Cemetery in Farmingdale. About 200 Knights and
family members placed U.S. flags at the
headstones of two sections of the cemetery.
Father Francis B. Nuss (far left), chaplain of
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Council 7479
in Dix Hills, gave the final
blessing. Council 7479 hosted a breakfast
afterward. |
